Is this considered misconduct?

I was reading the forums for a clan "exiles" and i came across this rules page..i was wondering if this was something of misconduct or is it allowed?

i think this type of issue is yucky...since it can be argued on both sides that it is considered legal and valid.

but the practice is frowned upon.

fortunately, i havnt seen much of this happening

We in Exiles prefer to play together on the same team. as you will have all already noticed. On some occasions we are forced to play on opposing teams. in which case we choose not to shoot at each other.

Funny how someone can be accused of misconduct for not shooting at someone.

Cypher don't take it personally. How do you think a team will feel when there are three players fighting in an area, but the two exiles don't attack each other, meaning the other player with one of them has no backup? To be honest I think if you are on opposing teams, then its just that, you are on opposing teams. We did it in Soldner remember? I don't think any other clans would play like this, at least I hope not.

Each to their own m8, Their are plenty of people out there using considerably more underhand tactics than this. For the most part we are left alone, and are allowed to remain on the same team. So it's once in a while we are forced onto opposing teams. this rule is only really exercised in big games, as in small games there are too few potential targets to avoid shooting clan m8's.

Hmm i didnt kno it would turn out to be like this..1st off..cypher i dont, or anybody else has anything against you. 2nd. I posted this because its not the first time ive seen a group of ppl do this..ppl that wont shoot at other clanmates even if they are boadside...sry if it may of looked like i was only picking on the exiles..but it really bothered me and i was just wondering if it was misconduct..so plz lets let this rest

No Deadman yet again you're wrong I have no problem. with EMC or 24thAS.
Now you might think i do cuz i didnt reply to you a couple of times when i
was afk or trying to concentrate cuz i was in a battle but that's just what you think.
However i do have a problem with the attepts to get exiles in trouble.
Now Snootch says this is purely a coincidence, so this time i'll take him at his
word, but should any of you be bareing some sort of grudge, about
something that happened months ago, then i hope that you can just let it
drop, as i play this game to have fun, not to be enganged in some sort of
arguement about nothing, that for some reason seems to be turning into
something completely unrelated to the original issue.

concerning the exiles not shooting each other:

this is a form of 'cheating', for lack of a better word. if you're on different teams, you shoot each other; if you really wanna test out tactics, it makes no difference if the target is a clanmate or some other guy. and swarming really doesn't require much practice...

think of it this way: how would you like it if the members of CC or Big Exp never shot each other?

wel no it doesn't really, because we're talking about the concept of it aren't we cypher. The key word in Toxic's reply being IF. IF Big Exp or CC were to not shoot each other, I imagine you'd be pissed off if a BB was slamming shells in to your side and the other one was just ignoring it.

1. We rarely if ever actually do this as mention earlier (for those of you who cant be arsed to actually read posts), this can be shown by the fact that not one person has ever even actually posted about it, apart from the people who read the post on our forum.

2. The practise has already been commented on by a Moderator, and was shown not to be cheating or misconduct, just frowned upon. Who in my opinion is in a far better position to make a judgement.

3. We will play this game how ever we feel we gain the most enjoyment. As it isn't a life or death situation it's a game. for those of you who clearly are taking things far too seriously.

4. I dissaprove of unrealistic high angle shooting, Torp whores, Excessive use of armour (b4 you comment on my boat i only have the armour i can fit after having 100% full crew), and people that constantly complain about stacking or any of the above, but remain in the game none the less (like we are forcing them to be in our room) or even worse quit once the game has commenced. Unyet while i dissaprove of all these things i don't go whining on as this is just a game.

I agree with Cypher here.... I really do not inderstand why this is brought up here...

I could understand if someone really encountered this... I imagine I could be pretty pissed if I didnt get any support from my own team...

But creating a thread because of something you have read on a forum???? Get a life.... It's like you have nothing better to do than search on the internet for a possible misconduct???? Geeezzzz man....
