This is a more formalized process to report a user.. It is by no means the only way, but it makes reports a bit more organized and easier to understand if in fact the accused has a history of misconduct. To help you guys to do your part, I wrote a file upload program so you can upload your screenshot to my box, and so we'll all have a record of the images right here rather than having all the pics all over the place.
How would you go around reporting a user.
1. Get screenshots. There's no way around this. You need screenshots to backup your accusations. Accusations alone will not go anywhere.
2. Once you have your screenshot, upload it to the server using the file upload tool near the top of the screen. The tool has a 300k size limit, which is enough for screens if you compress them to a jpg or gif format using any graphics utility
3. After you have uploaded the picture, the tool will give you the path where the image is stored in the form of
xxx Copy that format, as you'll need to include it in your post if you report it in this forum. If you are reporting it somewhere else, you'll just use the URL link instead.
4. Search around the conduct report forum to see if the player in question already has a report on him. If there's one, just reply to that thread. We don't need 5 threads about the same person, 1 thread with 5 articles will be better in illustrating his behavior.
5. If the accused has no previous record, compose a new thread with ONLY HIS NAME as the SUBJECT LINE. Please, no fancy subjects like "have him banned" or "this guy is a tker". You can put all your colorful language inside the post, but keep the subject line only with the user's ID.
6. Compose your complaint in the message. You can either tell the whole story or say nothing at all. We'll leave it up to you.
7. Finally, attach the image path that the file upload tool gave you to your post. This is the most important part. Without an image. Nothing can be done.
