Gearing DDR

Just got my DDR, here's my current loadout, seems to work well at the moment:

Armor

Deck - 0.6"
Belt - 2.0"
Bulge - 8
Bulkhead - 8


Guns/Ammo

L20 D 4"/50 cal Mark 14L x3
- 150 shells APC each
L12 21" Mark 11x3 Launcher x2
- 9 torps front, 8 torps rear


Engine

DD Engine II (Heavy) 37/45 knt


FCS

Cl FCS I (Auto)


Any comments or suggestions on how to improve it? I am relatively new at the game.

for one.... start using a manual fcs.

i wouldnt bother with a deck armor unless u play in a lot of CL games

Yeah... I've been starting to use manual, it's pretty frustrating to get used to. I had been playing in the bigger games, but i found that i'm getting much more consistent in the smaller DD games, so i will take your advice about losing the deck armor. Thanks
