I've noticed this thing when i was trying my brooklyn without support crew. This sounds crazy but when i got hit, my ship wasn't burning as long as if there was repairer and restorer onboard and ship repaired itself very qickly(around 3-4 DP per second which is hard to count). The repairing effect was same with lvl 48 restorer with 229 experts and 20 veterans and lvl 48 repairer with 238 experts and 10 veterans.
Maybe they just have their beer, prepare meal and sit and watch how the ship burns and fall itself apart.
