View Full Version : Can't login, can't reach NF site
This morning I lost the connection to the server ingame, and from this time on I could no longer sign in ("Loging time is over, please try again").
But I also cannot access www.navyfield.com.
wth is going on?
I have not installed/deleted anything since I could login the last time.
My system:
Athlon 2700+
Radeon 9500Pro
1GB RAM
WinXP Pro SP1 with all updates
MSI K7N2-Delta L mobo
AC97 onboard sound
No firewall
AVG Antivirus
I live in Germany

A friend who lives in my town as well, but uses another ISP, can't reach www.navyfield.com either.

that line sounds more like the nonauthoritative answer..
which is ok...since i doubt your dns server is the authoritative holder for the record of NF..
your dns seems fine...
but those timeout messages might be an issue...
seems your default dns server didnt find it, and you had to go through another dns...
have you tried setting to another dns server?
If you tell me how I will do it :)
btw I'm on an ADSL connection connecting via RASPPPOE.

well..first you need an available dns server..ya got a friend over there that has another provider? that way he can tell you what dns server hes using and we can "borrow" it...it might just be that your provider is suffering problems on their dns servers
i can give you a couple i have..but they are over here at US and hence not a good thing to do since it might time out on you for being too far..
For this one pal it does not work either, so I doubt it would help.
But I have someone else here for whom the site is working.
What info do I need from him and where can he look it up?
btw you can also reach me on MSN now.

tell him to do a ipconfig /all
and tell him to see what dns servers hes using..
then u can add those into yours in the control panel
He is using
195.34.133.17
195.34.133.18
Now where to add those?
WTH...
all of a sudden the site works again....
brb checking if I can login.
I did not reboot or renew my connection... it jsut suddenly works...
BRB
