My current ship of choice.

Cost for Brooklyn 385,000 credits
Cost for a DD-III Heavy engine 9,000 credits (31/39 @ 11 seconds)
Cost for a CL I Aiming FCS 8,000 credits
Cost for 5 X 6"/ L47 Mark 16 Ls 33,500 credits

2.0" Deck and 20 bulge.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Total Cost for outfitted ship: 435,500 credits+Armor+Ammo+3x Seagull (roughly 750K)

Whining about the game but yet still can't stop playing it ..... priceless

Notes:
150 HE-Normal and 100 AP shells per turret.

Even with Ls, is a bit short on range, which leads to a lot of :bash: but if it gets in range, it is MUDER.

This is the present incarnation. Earlier I had 1.3" deck, 2.6" belt, 14 bulge, and Ls, then tried Ds with 1.6" Deck, 2.3" belt, 15 bulge, and 5"/L25 As on the T-mounts, then I dropped the AA guns and increased Deck armor to 2.0". Now I have maxed crews and no belt, bet better bulge.

no deck on a cruiser isn't too smart...

my setup:
1.3" deck / 2.3" belt / 5 bulge
6"/47 mk16L, 3x heavy, 2x light
DD engine III (heavy)
CL aiming FCS I

- if you can dodge torps, no need for more than 10 bulge
- 6"/47 AP can't penetrate worth crap, just use heavy and go point-blank
- heavy over normal since lights are for range but DD's always go closer, might as well squeeze out some more firepower

My build right now is:
Full crews (lvl 40, 41, 41, 37, 29, 23, 22, 14) except for lvl 29 Rookie Pilot.

5x Dual 8"/55D, 2 binds HE Light
DD Heavy Engine III
CL I Aiming FCS
Nothing in T slots
3.1" Deck armor

Makes CL CA more fun for me.
