So since my posts of about a week ago I've moved on to a Somers with a wierd config (4x 2x4" cannons, 1 4x torp launcher at times and 3.8-4.4" of belt armor) which seems to work outstandingly. I've taken on an Atlanta and with AP ammo have actually come extremely close to winning a few times now (both times a second destroyer showed up to help... :( ). The main question I have now is how is XP handled? I know winning the round results in more xp, but I seem to make more losing and getting higher attack points. I've been playing just about 2 weeks now and my one and only bridge officer is only level 24.5. Anyone have any tips to boost my xp gain? I've been playing mostly in the smaller DD rooms, since I seem to get pasted fast in the main battle rooms. Any extra tips are appreciated!

XP gain is complicated to calculate...

since it depends on too many variables...

the lvl of ur crew, type of ur sailors, the type of ship ur crew is in, and the type of ships u do damage to.... it all affects XP gain

Alright, so its pretty much the same as my original questions on credits then. I'll try to stop proving my noobness and just play. ;)

attack larger targets
sink your targets
make high angle shots

Yeah, I've got some tactics nailed down for when I was in my Somers, but since I've moved to the Atlanta now, I'm getting used to high angle shots. My gunners are kinda low, so I might sell off the Atlanta and go back to the Fletcher to up my gunners levels some. Tho, with the excitment of a CL (or in the Atlanta's case, Mistah Super DD) I'm gonna stick with it and just get used to the new style of play. :)

Yes, you most certainly did! For the most part I've been running DD escort for larger ships on some of the bigger games. Been doin alright with it, but its definately something to get used to!
